As the chilly air and a few snowflakes herald the advance of winter that never fails to find and envelop us, we look back on a difficult year. We struggled through a year of political turmoil, searching for racial and ethnic justice and dodging the scourge of the Covid pandemic
Many of you have asked us how we proceed from this point on with Cuba being in lock down and the organization having not traveled for 6 months. How do the Cubans survive under circumstances that seem harsher than their normal everyday lives.
Just an update n Cuba. As most of you know Cuba will not allow flights into the country currently. We cancelled our end of May trip. Tickets through
First-Hand Aid has provided a helping hand to the people of Cuba for over twenty years. A truly amazing accomplishment considering the ever-changing international economy and political climate. Few non-profits can claim this accomplishment.
Current conditions in Cuba are far more difficult than ever before. Cuba has lost international support resulting in limited or no resources to generate electricity, provide transportation, food or basic medical supplies.
We will continue to provide meals, family support, and medical supplies with our current partners but we believe it is time to take the Next Step!
