No Life in Ashes

No life in ashes:

Many of you have asked us how we proceed from this point on with Cuba being in lock down and the organization having not traveled for 6 months. How do the Cubans survive under circumstances that seem harsher than their normal everyday lives.

The answer can be taken from an old saying. “ In ashes there is no life.” The meaning is true on many levels in the lives of Cubans as well as all of our lives. During, disasters, deaths, or great tribulation in our lives we have but one direction to follow. To walk away from the ashes left behind and move forward towards the future. It is the only road to take. The only choice to take. We cannot change what has happened, they are ashes and so we move forward from this point with a new commitment to the people of Cuba.

We do this with the help of many of you who when asked to donate due to cancellations of fundraisers etc, you responded generously. Thank you, thank you.

We will respond to the needs of Cuba in any way we can until we can return to them. We walk away from what is done, take some lessons with us and look to the road ahead.

Thank you again for all of your support

Marc
